The third of Constantine the Great’s sons. He ruled the Eastern part of the Empire upon his father’s death. He was implicated (although not proven) to be responsible for the deaths of many of his uncles and cousins. In 350, the usurper Magnentius killed Constans and was himself killed by Constantius II in 353. Constantius II then became sole Emperor. He created two Caesars-Gallus in 351 and Julian in 355. All coins are in XF condition.
