In 1973 the popular 1919 musical “Irene” was recast as a successful revival starring Debbie Reynolds in the title role of Irene O’Dare, an immigrant working in a fashion shop in New York City where she is introduced to high society.  For her Broadway debut, she earned her first Tony nomination. The production ran from March 13, 1973 to September 7, 1974 and also starred Reynolds’ 16 year old daughter Carrie Fisher in her first acting role as the “debutant”, as well as George Irving as the “Fashion Designer” (who won the Tony for Best Supporting Actor). Eerily, Irving died Monday December 26, 2016, Fisher died Tuesday the 27th and Reynolds died on the 28th, 2016 at the age of 84 - all dying within a span of 3 days.  We have a beautiful, mint condition 10 page souvenir album of the Broadway play “Irene” featuring play notes, antidotes on the stars and numerous pictures, only...
