Cigar Bands from the Golden Age
cigar bands golden age

The origin of the cigar band is steeped in myth, one being that Russian Tsaritsa Catherine the Great took cigars and wrapped them in silk so as to not stain her fingers. Other stories tell of paper bands being used on cigars exported to England to prevent the staining of “gentleman’s” white gloves. Most historians believe that it was a European immigrant to Cuba, Gustave Bock who invented the cigar band. We just bought a large group of near mint to mint condition cigar bands, all made during the “Golden Age”. We have assembled these colorful bands into the following assortments. Don’t delay your order, as these always sell out!
